Meth Labs Found on College Hill, West Ward, Police Say

Easton police search four homes in early-morning raids.

Easton police say they uncovered two meth labs in the city Friday morning, part of a series of drug raids that also focused on a recent shooting.

According to police, the city's vice and special response units, along with the state police special response team, served four search warrants around Easton at 6 a.m.

The meth labs were found at 520 Monroe St. and 1332 Lehigh St., police said. The state police's Clan Lab took all the materials into custody.

Police also found a stolen motorcycle at the Monroe Street address.

Three people were arrested at the Lehigh Street address -- two of the people who lived at the home, Gary Everitt, 42, and Danielle Everitt, 36, and another man, Steven Kaiser, no known address. All three will face charges relating to the making and possession of methamphetamine.

Gary Everitt was arraigned before District Judge Richard Yetter Friday on charges of manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver methamphetamine, operating a methamphetamine lab,  possession of drug paraphernalia and conspiracy.

Police say they found methamphetamine, pseudoephedrine lithium and other chemicals in his possession. Everitt was sent to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $65,000 bail.

He will also face charges from the Lehigh County Auto Theft Task force due to the motorcycle.

Police raided two other addresses -- a home at 1521 Liberty St. with the help of Wilson police, and an apartment at 55 S. Fifth St.

According to police, two handguns were found at the Fifth Street address, part of an investigation into a shooting last month on Ferry Street.

Two people in the apartment will face summonses for possession of drug paraphernalia.
