Easton police say a group of men were found injecting heroin in the back of a Northampton Street grocery store Sunday afternoon.
According to a police news release, officers were called to Arreola's Market at 664 Northampton St. for a report of men "falling down and acting strangely."
Police say they found two men—Peter Haddad, 21, and Brandon Cuvo-Parr, 20—injecting heroin in an open back room and took them into custody.
One of the workers at the store, Fernando Arreola-Velazquez, was allegedly carrying 12 packets of heroin.
Cuvo-Parr was carrying marijuana, packaging material and a scale, police said. He and Arreola-Velazquez were arraigned on drug charges before District Judge David Tidd in Lower Saucon, and sent to Northampton County Prison after failing to post bail: $30,000 for Cuvo-Parr and $45,000 for Arreola-Velazquez.
Haddad was being charged via summons, police said.
