Man Shoots Into Vehicle, Steals Handgun, Police Say

Easton police seek South Side man in Sunday night handgun robbery.

Easton police have obtained an arrest warrant for a South Side man they say fired a handgun into occupied vehicle Sunday night.

Devon Cosme, of the 400 block of W. Berwick St., is facing charges of aggravated assault, theft of a firearm, reckless endangerment and terroristic threats.

According to police, the investigation began with a report of a man shooting into an occupied vehicle on the first block of N. Union Street around 8:23 p.m.

No one in the vehicle was hurt, but the man got away with a silver Smith & Wesson handgun. 

Police say Cosme is black, about 5-feet-11, with a lighter complexion, black hair and some facial hair. He was with another man, also black, with darker pants and coat, and possibly wearing black and red sneakers.

Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Mark Rush at 610-250-6639. Anyone who knows where Cosme is asked to call police immediately.
