Man in 2 Assaults Had Brass Knuckles, Police Say

Cordaro Stonewall accused of attacking two different men, according to Easton police.

A man who was involved in two assaults three weeks apart was carrying brass knuckles when he was arrested, according to Easton police.

Cordaro Leon Stonewall, 21, of 1312 Northampton St., is charged with simple assault, harassment, burglary and possessing a prohibited or offensive weapon.

According to court records, Stonewall went to a home on S. 13th Street Tuesday afternoon, struck the man living there, and knocked him unconcious.

Police said a witness saw Stonewall get into a white van and drive off. He was arrested Wednesday on the 1200 block of Spruce Street, at which time police allegedly found the brass knuckles.

It was unclear whether they were used in the Tuesday assault, or in another attack on March 4 in which Stonewall allegedly hit a man on the first block of N. Third Street.

Stonewall was arraigned before on-duty District Judge Daniel Corpora in Easton and sent to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $20,000 bail.
