Man Charged in West Ward Stabbing

Sean West, 22, was already in prison on other charges when police issued warrant in stabbing case.

Easton police say they've identified the man behind a stabbing that sent a man to the hospital this summer in the West Ward.

Sean West, 22, is facing attempted homicide and aggravated assault charges, Lt. Matthew Gerould said Wednesday.

According to police, West stabbed another man multiple times near the intersection of Ferry and Cherry streets on the morning of Sept. 19.

His 39-year-old victim was sent to the hospital and was—at the time—not cooperating with investigators, police said.

West was already in Northampton County Prison on unrelated charges when an arrest warrant was issued, Gerould said. He was arraigned Wednesday afternoon, according to court records.
