Lafayette Student Critical After in Hit-and-Run-Crash

Police are looking for witnesses in crash that put college freshman in the hospital.

Easton police are looking for a Jeep that hit a Lafayette College freshman along Lehigh Drive Friday evening.

According to police, the accident happened around 6 p.m., and left the young woman in critical condition.

Police say surveillance footage helped lead them to look for a dark Jeep Grand Cherokee with a chrome grill, made in the mid-to-late 1990s. It may have damage to the passenger side front headlight area. Its driver is a white man.

Police were able to get this information from surveillance footage, and are looking for help in finding the driver.

They are looking for any auto parts dealers, salvage yards, car dealers, garages or insurance companies with information to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Matthew Rush at 610-250-6639.
