Gunmen Rob Easton Subway, Dunkin Donuts

Easton police investigating two robberies at city fast-food restaurants.

Two Easton fast-food restaurants were robbed at gunpoint within an hour of each other Tuesday evening.

According to city police, the Dunkin Donuts at 13th and Northampton streets and the Subway on N. Third Street were both held up by two different men.

The Dunkin Donuts robbery happened first, just before 7 p.m., with the robber getting away with an undetermined amount of cash.

Police say the robber was Hispanic, wearing a black hood, red scarf, black pants and black boots. He was carrying a handgun wrapped in a plastic bag. He ran from the store, heading south on 13th Street.

At 7:26 p.m., police responded to the downtown Subway for a report of a hold-up in progress.

Police say this robber also escaped with an undetermined amount of cash, fleeing from the store heading west on Church Street.

The robber was black, wearing a black knit hat and a black jacket, possibly with a white North Face logo.

Evidence was collected at both scenes, and no injuries were reported.

Anyone with information on either robbery is encouraged to call police at 610-759-2200, or the police tip line, 610-250-6635.
