Easton Woman Stabbed in the Back, Police Say

Downtown Easton resident Ana Hernandez facing assault charges following Thursday morning stabbing.

An Easton woman stabbed another woman in the back at a downtown apartment early Thursday, according to city police.

Ana Hernarndez, 37, of 11 N. Fourth St., Apt. 2, is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment and harassment.

Police say they responded to a report of a stabbing at 5:14 a.m. at Hernandez's address, and found a woman suffering from a stab wound. Police say she identified Hernandez as her attacker.

Hernandez was taken into custody, while the other woman was hospitalized, police said.

It was the second reported stabbing in the city in a week. On Saturday, Jameek Edmonds allegedly stabbed his boyfriend during a fight at his home on Ferry Street.
