Easton Woman Found Dead in Delaware River

Police say Kara Niski had been reported missing Friday by her family.

An Easton woman who was reported missing by her family was found dead Saturday in the Delaware River in New Jersey.

New Jersey State Police say the body of 34-year-old Kara Niski was discovered just before noon on the bank of the river between the Free Bridge and Route 22. Family members identified her at the scene.

According to police, Niski's family and friends believed she was suicidal. Police began a search for her Friday, and found her car and belongings along Goat Farm Road in Harmony Township.
