Easton Police: Search Warrants Lead to Drug Arrests

Two unrelated search warrants Friday turned up cocaine and heroin, Easton police say.

Two Easton residents were jailed Friday following a pair of unrelated drug raids.

City police say Harry Luther Wilson, was in possession of heroin, marijuana, and an illegal handgun during the search of his second floor apartment at 73 N. 7th Street.

According to a police search warrant, officers found heroin hidden in a fake Coke can, as well as inside a sock. Wilson is charged with possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance (heroin), possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance (marijuana), possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal conspiracy, and and owning an unauthorized firearm.

He was arraigned before District Judge Gay Elwell, and sent to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $250,000 bail. Police say other arrests are pending in this case.

In the second case, city police served a search warrant at the home of Elizabeth Lopez, 33, of 363 Filbert St.

According to police, the warrant the result of Lopez making three cocaine sales to a police source on January 12, February 9 and February 15. She is charged with delivery of a controlled substance (cocaine) and criminal use of a communication facility.

Lopez was also arraigned before Elwell, and sent to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $75,000 bail.
