Easton Police Investigate Armed Robbery

Two men held up on Northampton Street Saturday night, police say.

Easton police say two men were robbed at gunpoint in the city's downtown Saturday night.

According to police, the robbery happened around 9:50 p.m. near N. Union and Northampton streets. 

The men, ages 18 and 21, told police they were robbed in a building in that area, with the robber taking $60, a debit card, a state ID card and a Social Security card from the 21-year-old victim.

Police say the robber, who carried a handgun, took $20, a debit card, a state ID card and a cell phone from the other victim.

The gunman was a black male, wearing dark gray sweat pants and a black hooded sweatshirt, police said. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 610-250-6639.
