Easton police say a South Side man punched his girlfriend during an argument Thursday night.

Donald Devatt, 30, of the 800 block of Packer Street, is charged with simple assault and harassment.

According to police, Devatt struck his girlfriend in the eye during an argument, causing swelling and an abrasion.

He was arraigned before District Judge Richard Yetter and freed after posting $7,500 unsecured bail.
