Miguel Smith, 34, jailed on assault and weapons charges following Pine Street incident.

Easton police say a West Ward man pointed a gun at another man during a domestic disturbance Friday evening.

Miguel Smith, 34, of the 1100 block of Northampton St., is charged with terroristic threats, simple assault and an illegal weapons charge.

Police say they responded to a disturbance on Smith's block at 7:07 p.m. and were met by a man who said Smith had pointed a gun at him. Smith was allegedly found in his home with a handgun, which was not registered to him. Police say Smith, a convicted felon, is not authorized to own a gun.

He was arraigned and sent to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bail.
