Easton Man Found Dead in Montgomery County

A 46-year-old Easton man's body was found Sunday afternoon as police investigated an overnight unattended vehicle

The body of a 46-year-old Easton man was pulled from the Green Lane Reservoir in Montgomery County Sunday morning.

State police were dispatched to the Green Lane Park for an overnight unattended vehicle, which prompted the investigation.

The cause of death has not been determined at this time, and the investigation is pending an examination from the Montgomery County Coroner's Office.

Police, rescue and fire crews pulled the man's body out of the water around 2:40 pm, and the Montgomery County Coroner's office pronounced the man dead. 

According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the man had been missing since last night, and it was likely an accidental drowning.

tweet from MontcoAlerts announced that units were on scene searching for a missing boater at 10:30 am. 

Green Lane Park Rangers, Telford Volunteer Driving and Rescue Unit, and the Red Hill Fire Company were involved in the search and retrieval of the body, according to the article. All boat rentals were suspended during the search.

The investigation is ongoing, and the name of the deceased will not be announced unit the next of kin are notified.
