A drug raid Wednesday night in Easton's West Ward led city police to a man they say is a suspect in a robbery.
The raid happened just before 7 p.m., when city police and members of the Northampton County Drug Task Force served a search warrant on 1227 Spruce St.
Police said the search was prompted by complaints by neighbors. An investigation determined drug dealers had taken the property over from an elderly tenant.
According to police, one of the dealers is suspected of a robbery on the 100 block of Northampton Street earlier this year. Police declined to say more, citing concerns about compromising the investigation.
Two men were arrested during the raid:
- Derrick Parks, Jr., 18, Easton, charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver.
- Shaun Ranges, 20, Plainfield, NJ, charged with possession of heroin and cocaine, and cited for possession of a small amount of marijuana.
