Daytime Burglaries Reported in Wilson

Wilson police say two homes robbed after burglar got in through unlocked door.

Wilson police are investigating a pair of burglaries that happened within two hours of each other Thursday morning in the borough.

The burglaries were reported at homes in 2400 block of Freemansburg Avenue and the 1500 block of Butler Street, police said.

In both cases, a burglar got in through an unlocked rear door and took money and other items. Police said the burglar may have been wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans, but had no further description.

Police ask residents to keep their doors and windows locked and be on the lookout for suspicious people.

Anyone with information on the burglaries is asked to call Det. Marc Crisafulli at 610-258-8542.
