DA: Too Soon to Say Reid Cause of Death

Despite Andy Reid statement about drug use, Northampton County prosecutor says it's too early to discuss how Garrett Reid died.

In a statement released Tuesday, Eagles coach Andy Reid said that his son Garrett's death came after a "battle that has been ongoing for the last eight years."

That battle was with , something Garrett Reid, 29, had struggled with for several years.

But at a news conference Wednesday, Northampton County District Attorney John Morganelli would not confirm that it was drugs that led to Reid's death.

Morganelli had called the news conference to discuss the case of an Occupy protester arrested in Easton .

But he took a question at the end from a reporter who asked him to comment on Andy Reid's "eight year battle remark."

Morganelli said that toxicology results hadn't come back from Garrett Reid's autopsy, and that it would be impossible to say how he had died before those results were in.
