Court records contain new details in the case of an Easton man charged with robbing and assaulting a woman Friday afternoon at Easton Cemetery.

Police say Anthony Joseph Giamoni, 29, attacked both the woman—who is physically disabled—and a 9-year-old boy.

According to court records:

The woman had gone to the cemetery to visit the graves of her friends. She had just cashed a check for $600, and had that money with her.

The woman told police that Giamoni knocked her to the ground, began kicking her in the ribs, then took her $600. She complained of soreness to the rib cage and stomach area.

The boy provided a similar account, adding Giamoni punched him in the stomach and knocked him to the ground by pushing him. An Easton Emergency Squad crew took the woman and the boy to Easton Hospital for evaluation.

It was not clear how the boy was conencted to the woman.

Giamoni was arraigned before  on-duty District Judge Jackie Taschner of Palmer Township and committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $35,000 bail.
