Burglar Threatened Woman With Screwdriver, Police Say

Anthony Foster charged with burglary, assault after break-in in the West Ward.

Easton police say a city man broke into a Washington Street apartment last week and threatened a woman with a screwdriver.

Anthony Foster, 25, was charged Friday with burglary, terroristic threats, simple assault and resisting arrest, according to court records.

The Express-Times says Foster broke into an apartment on the 1000 block of Washington Street and held a screwdriver to a woman inside, telling her "I can hurt you right now."

Foster was arraigned before District Judge Richard Yetter in Wilson, and was being held in Northampton County Prison after being unable to post bail, court records say.
