Burglar Hit 'Several' Local Homes, Police Say

Easton police say a Phillipsburg man committed "several" burglaries in the city, Wilson and Palmer Township.

James Edward Baker, 27, was already in custody Thursday when he was charged with burglary, criminal trespass, theft, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief.

Police say Thursday's arrest was the result of an investigation into two burglaries in Easton's West Ward, as well as several in Wilson and Palmer.

Baker had already been jailed after being charged with related offenses in Easton and Wilson, police say.
