Accused Teen Robber Arrested in Palmer

Al-faquan Craft, 16, faces robbery charges for South Side incident.

Easton police say a teenager wanted for a weekend robbery was taken into custody Tuesday in Palmer Township.

Al-faquan Craft, 16, was arrested by city police with the help of officers from Palmer, Inspector Daniel Reagan said in a news release.

Craft had been wanted in connection with a robbery Friday in the city's South Side. He is facing robbery, theft and conspiracy and conspiracy charges.

According to police, two robbers—one with a knife, one with a shotgun—stole cellphones from a 20-year-old city resident who was walking in the 100 block of East Cooper Street about 11:32 p.m. Friday.

The robbery was one of a series of violent events in the city over the weekend, along with another robbery and an attempted home invasion. Police believe all three events are connected.
