$9,000 in Heroin Found in Easton Apartment, Police Say

State investigators say Easton woman sold heroin to two other people.

State investigators say they discovered $9,000 worth of heroin in a South Side Easton apartment following a drug bust Monday afternoon.

According to court records, agents from the state Bureau of Narcotics Enforcement were conducting an operation at West Nesquehoning and St. Joseph Street around 2:45 p.m.

Records say they saw Jessica Speakman, 19, of the 300 block of West Nesquehoning, sell heroin to Michael Handlovich and Julia Koke, both 22, with no fixed address.

Police say a search of Speakman's apartment found $9,000 worth of heroin, and $1,300 in cash.

She is charged with delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, both felonies. She was arraigned before on-duty District Judge Richard Yetter, and sent to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $150,000 bail.

Handlovic and Koke were both charged with possession of a controlled substance, and also arraigned before Yetter. They were sent to prison after failing to post $25,000 bail.
