Whatever happened to local news?
In the past three days alone, a man was found bloodied on the streets of Easton, the district announced 72 possible layoffs, an Easton High School senior won a full college scholarship and homicide charges were filed in connection with an arson in Forks Township. When Tom Coombe ran Easton Patch, he not only got the local news, he broke the news. Whatever happened to the Patch promise of hyper-local news that is timely, relevant and informative? To the new Patch owners: Stop being cheap and lazy. Bring back the old Patch.
