Come on, Patch.  Let's show some concern for the cats and dogs of Easton!  I see lots of room for a new Tab at the top of this page.

@JoAnn: thanks, for the link. I saw that already, as I subscribe to no kill advocacy's newsletter. However, I'm just talking about helping Easton's residents to more easily locate pet-related info in one spot: AC #, Vet #'s, lost/found postings, links to SPCA & AC adoptable dogs, etc. Seems like an easy thing to do, not just for Easton but for all PATCH subscribers.

Yes, the more no-kill shelters the better. But I'm trying to focus on ONE issue with this post: getting a tab at the top of every PATCH page for quick access to handy pet info, including links to shelters, etc. Can you help with that?
JoAnn December 07, 2013 at 08:35 AM
I have a list Rita however, no one helped I can give you that list -- maybe we can shame them into helping instead of always asking for $MONEY$ I got names too
Rita Chesterton December 07, 2013 at 10:56 AM
Yes, your list of info (assuming you mean vet names/numbers, appropriate links for TNR info, Animal Control contacts, list of local shelters, etc.) will be useful, but FIRST we need to connect with the PATCH website designer or someone at PATCH who will assist in sorting out the appropriate info to include. Not sure where 'money' comes into play for this, but that's what we need to find out. I've already emailed the Community Editor of Easton PATCH, two times, but she never replied. Nothing can move forward with approval/assistance from PATCH.

Correction: Nothing can move forward withOUT approval/assistance from PATCH.

I agree Rita, the patch likes to censor what content is allowed on a so-called public site
JoAnn December 07, 2013 at 12:12 PM
you can find me on Facebook I can give you a list of agencies I have contacted for the care of a cat colony on the banks of the Delaware river that I went to jail for

I find it heart wrenching that Andra Grace a pit bull was emaciated, abused and discarded and then dragged behind a pick up truck. The monster who did this to her was caught he just got a ticket. But me I was hauled off to jail for 3 days by the PA Belfast State Police https://www.facebook.com/pages/Justice-for-Andra-Grace-Pitbull-dragged-by-truck/239950546165396

JoAnn, I really appreciate your passion to fight back against cruelty. I too have been following the story about Andra Grace, and sit in wonder over how her abuser received such SOFT treatment. That being said, I don't want the 'desired Tab on Easton PATCH' to become a blog to campaign against animal abuse. There are other places online to campaign for tough abuse laws. I'm simply wanting a place on PATCH for easy access to the pet-related info I've already outlined.

Rita I wish I could help you but I have reached out and tried to enlist the so-called pet related advocacy and have no success with any of them. AT ALL !! Since March 2013 I have called 14 rescues in the Northampton/Lehigh area including Warren County NOTHING absolutely nothing -- Mind you I called back in JUly and still nothing -- that list I have, however they don't do anything

JoAnn... I understand your eagerness, but there's no sense in listing various bits of info and links right here within this Speak Out post. What is FIRST needed is for PATCH administrators to agree to having a TAB for Pet Info on their cover page. Once that is agreed to, the 'content' can be discussed outside of this blog space, via private messages. Moreover, the Pet Info tab, as I envisioned it, would be solely for providing quick access to helpful pet information, and not for discussing controversial issues.
