E. Christine Bernhard, 96, Worked at Easton Department Stores

E. Christine Bernhard, formerly of Easton, died Friday, January 10, 2014 in Gracedale.

Born September 9, 1917 in South Hill, VA she was a daughter of the late Robert and Blanche (Crafton) Gee. Her husband Clifford D. Bernhard died in 1988.

She was employed by the Laubach and Pomeroy stores in Easton for many years before retiring.

She had been a member of the former First United Methodist Church, Easton.

She is survived by her daughter Sandra Rader and her husband Earl of Wind Gap, PA; 2 grandsons: James and Edward Rader; 4 great-grandchildren: Brittney Martin; Zachary, Dylan and Carissa Rader; and 2 great-great-grandsons: Cameron and Caleb. She was predeceased by her husband; a sister: Ann Furr and 3 brothers: Lewis, Fred and Alton Gee.

Services will be held graveside 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Northampton Memorial Shrine, 3051 Green Pond Rd., Easton. The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling the arrangements.
