Crayola, Boys & Girls Club Offer Kid-Friendly New Year

Two ways your kids can celebrate the New Year without staying up late.

Even if your kids can't stay up until midnight, that doesn't mean they can't ring in the New Year.

Easton's Crayola Experience and Boys & Girls Club are both offering day-long, kid-friendly New Year's Eve events.

Crayola will celebrate the new year from noon to 7 p.m., with $19.99 admission fee giving kids all-day access to the center's attractions, appearances by Crayola characters, a free gift, two moonbounces and a countdown to the New Year.

Meanwhile, the Boys & Girls Club, at 210 Jones-Houston Way on the city's South Side, will hold a series of activities throughout the day from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., culminating with a community dance at 8 p.m.

The event is free for current club members and their parents. It costs $15 to become a member, which qualifies kids 5-18 for a full year of the club's after-school program.
