Centre Square Menorah Will Be Lit Wednesday

Chabad of the Lehigh Valley will observe the start of Hanukkah Wednesday in Easton and Bethlehem.

Even though the Peace Candle dominates much of Easton's Centre Square, there's a small corner each year devoted to Hanukkah.

Every year for the past few years, Chabad of the Lehigh Valley has gathered members of the Easton area's Jewish community to observe eight-night celebration.

This year, the lighting ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, at 6:30 p.m. in the southern side of the square.

Chabad also has lighting ceremonies scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at its headquarters in Bethlehem.
