Where to Donate Food Locally for Thanksgiving Meals

Do you know of organizations that are collecting food and other items for Thanksgiving? Tell us in the comments.

Are you interested in donating food for Thanksgiving meals?

Here are two ways:

The Boys & Girls Club of Easton's "Future Stars Torch Club" program is still collecting food for its Thanksgiving Day Food Drive and New Hats/Gloves Drive. Food will be collected through Saturday (Nov. 23). Accepted food items include canned vegetables, boxed or canned potatoes, boxed or bagged stuffing, yams, cranberry sauce, drinks and more, according to a club news release.

The food and new hats and gloves can be dropped off at the Boys & Girls clubhouse, 210 Jones-Houston Way, (610-252-6983), or The Easton Teen Center, 1101 Northampton St. (610 253-1102).

The goal is to provide food to a local food bank for Thanksgiving. The hats and gloves will be distributed to Boys & Girls members and their families.

Food donations, except turkeys and items in glass containers, are being accepted at City Limits Assembly of God, 302 Ridge Ave., Allentown. The church will distribute Thanksgiving food baskets starting at 6 p.m. Tuesday (Nov. 26) at the church, which is at the corner of Ridge (runs between Front and Second streets) and Chew streets. For more information, call 610-776-8656.
