Lehigh Valley Early Care & Education Professional Development Day

Capital Blue Cross will be sponsoring keynote speaker Sally Handlon for the October Lehigh Valley Early Care & Education Professional Development Day for early childhood educators.  Sally is the founder and president of Handlon Business Resources, LLC, and has over 30 years of experience in helping public, corporate, small business, and learning environments meet their business goals.   Sally will talk about the five P’s – Passion, Proactive, Promotion, Professionals, and Proposition – of sustaining a daycare business.

The theme of the all-day conference, which will be held at Northampton Community College’s main campus on Monday, October 10, 2011, is “Early Care & Education…It’s Everyone’s Business.”  Registration for the conference will begin in early August; “like” our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/pages/Lehigh-Valley-Early-Care-Education for dates and more details.

This professional development day for early childhood educators was started five years ago through a collaboration with Penn State Cooperative Extension, The Northeast Key, and child care center directors, who wanted to be able to provide the professional development hours required of early childhood educators during a daylong conference.
