In response to the recent spike of violence that has dominated our local headlines and newscasts, the Greater Shiloh Church of Easton, PA, in a collaborative effort with other local churches, is sponsoring a Stop the Violence Prayer Rally & Walk on Saturday, December 8, 2012.

The walk will begin at 9:00AM at the Greater Shiloh Chapel located at 201 Brother Thomas Bright Avenue in Easton, then proceed to prayer at West West Nesquehoning & McKeen Streets, the site of the city's fifth fatal shooting this year that occurred on December 2nd. The walk
will go from McKeen Street to Berwick Street, to St. John's Street, then, to St. Joseph Street, the site of another homicide that took place on November 23rd.

Easton Mayor Sal Panto, Jr. and Councilman Ken Brown have committed to attending this event.

Said Senior Pastor Phillip Davis in a recent interview, “Especially in times of crisis, the churches and the community should come together as one to take the stand against violence and bring unity to the community.”

Please join us.
