4th Annual Jazz Breakfast

The Easton Area High School Jazz Band
holds its 4th Annual Jazz Breakfast this Saturday, April 26,
featuring live music by the EAHS Jazz Combo.

The menu includes pancakes, scrambled
eggs, sausage, coffee/tea/juice, and “The Orange Bowl,” a breakfast bread
pudding with warm orange sauce and chocolate, in honor of the EAHS Marching
Band’s planned trip to the Orange Bowl college football championship later this
year.



The Jazz Breakfast will take place from
8-11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 333 Spring Garden Street, Easton, PA,
and is presented by the EAHS Instrumental Music Association. Cost is $6 adults / $5
for senior citizens and children under 12.

The EAHS Jazz Band is composed of 20
talented students who rehearse after school, playing a variety of styles
including classic and contemporary jazz and funk. Playing at high school jazz
festivals throughout eastern Pennsylvania, the group has won a number of top
soloist and section awards.



Meanwhile, the Jazz Band and Jazz Combo will be
playing a free public concert at Easton’s Riverside Amphitheater on Friday, May
2. This year’s Jazz Combo features Patrick Nelson, tenor saxophone; Shannon
Ritter, trombone; Mary Hannig, guitar; Joseph Buza, string bass; and Masaki Bolte, drums.
