The next Northampton County executive will be a mayor—either Bangor mayor John Brown or Bethlehem mayor John Callahan.

Brown, a Republican, emphasizes his extensive experience as a businessman.

Democrat Callahan emphasizes his record as mayor and $2 billion in economic development in Bethlehem that includes the Sands casino.

The winner will replace county executive John Stoffa, a Democrat who did not run for re-election.
