Winter Storm to Hit Easton Friday

National Weather Service issues winter storm warning for Friday and Saturday.

The National Weather Service says a winter storm will bring snow, ice, dangerous roads and possible power outages to Easton on Friday.

The NWS has issued a winter storm warning for Easton and rest of Northampton County beginning Friday at 6 a.m. and ending Saturday at 6 a.m.

The major impact will be in New England where a nor'easter-type storm could bring blizzard conditions and a foot of snow.

Yet that doesn't let us off the hook, with the storm warning calling for 10 to 16 inches of snow, plus a trace of ice.

That weather means "very hazardous travel" is expected Friday night, the NWS says.

Snow should develop Friday morning, then mix with or change to sleet and rain from southeast to northwest. Snow could be heavy at times later Friday afternoon and Friday night, the Weather Service says.

The storm should end early Saturday morning leaving Saturday partly sunny with a high of 33.
