West Word Paper Future Uncertain
The future of Easton's West Word newspaper is up in the air, due to a disagreement between its staff and its sponsor over the publication's direction.Managing editor Ghen Zando-Dennis said she fears the paper could either lose its funding or have its leadership replaced next month.

New Easton Parking Meters Begin Arriving
March is here, and with its arrival comes Easton's new parking meters, which were scheduled to start going in downtown in two phases: March 1 to the 15th, March 15th to March 31. With these changes comes a price increase: it will now cost $1 an hour to park at the meters, up from 50 cents per hour.

Easton police say a West Ward man stored his stash of heroin under the bed where his two-year-old son slept. Nicholas Maietta, 24 of 1051 Northampton St., was arrested Thursday morning following a raid at his apartment.
