Patch 101: Posting Announcements is Easy

Did you have a baby? Get married? Graduate? Here's how to let everyone know.

Are you the proud parent, sibling, grandparent, friend or admirer of a student who's made the honor roll? Did you earn an awesome promotion, get engaged or married? Do you have a press release with news you want our readers to see?

Share the good news on Easton Patch!

Whether your kid got straight A's for the first time, you've become a black belt, your company is looking for interns or you have a volunteer opportunity, Easton Patch is the place to let it be known.

First, check out the Announcements page.

We have a category for almost everything (births, deaths, sports awards, religious occasions, thank you, etc.), so feel free to post an announcement for just about anything.

Make sure you're a registered user on Patch (all you need is a name and an e-mail address) and you can upload your own announcements. Once logged in, scroll to the bottom of the page and select "Announce something to everyone" under the Contribute category.

In the announcement template, write a title. Select a category that best fits the announcement. Write a brief description. You can even add photos and video to accompany your announcement, and after posting, you can share the link with your friends and family.

It's that simple.

Editor's Note: If you have a question or seek further assistance, contact Editor Tom Coombe at tom.coombe@patch.com, or 610-216-5507.

I am a veteran school administrator in the New Jersey public schools and I have three young childrenRead More in the district. I am frightened and worried about our schools. What would it take for the PADOE to take over the district? Electing new board members is not enough. We need help from the state as soon as possible. The district needs to be stabilized and then everything from soup to nuts must be assessed by an outside educational entity. Our children deserve much better!

I hear the NFSA does a good job helping school districts and from the list of PA schools a number ofRead More local schools, like Parkland and some in Bucks County participate. Maybe this is something Easton needs to do. http://www.schoolfoundations.org/en/about_nsfa/
