Paxinosa Elementary and Shawnee Middle School's PSSA results were flagged in a recent state report that looked at signs of cheating on standardized tests, according to the Express-Times.

To be clear: the schools deny any wrongdoing, and the state did not accuse these schools of cheating, just noted that there are warning signs.

A lighter story, also from the Express-Times, profiling Stephen Flowers, owner of the Suddenly Samantha hair salon and a regular kayak-commuter. And that means what it sounds like: he paddles a kayak from his home in Lower Mount Bethel to work in downtown Easton.

Adrian Shanker, who helped lead , has been named president of Equality PA, the state's LGBT advocacy group, according to a news release from the group. Shanker, 24, works for in Eason.
