'Nazi Dad' Pops the Question in Centre Square

Heath Campbell, a New Jersey neo-Nazi who has made headlines for giving his children Nazi-themed names, made a public marriage proposal Sunday in Easton.

Heath Campbell, a New Jersey neo-Nazi who has made headlines for giving his children Nazi-themed names, made a public proposal Sunday in Easton's Centre Square.

This wasn't about his white supremacist beliefs, or his denial of the Holocaust. Instead, Campbell asked his girlfriend, Bethanie White, to marry him.

That's according to the New York Post, which published a video Monday showing the proposal. Campbell wore Nazi regalia. White, who has been by his side recently for a custody battle, wore an "SS" armband.

Campbell lost custody of his children in 2010, and went to court in New Jersey earlier this month to ask to see his son. The visit got media attention because Campbell wore a Nazi uniform to court.

His three children, aged 5-7, are named Adolf Hitler, Joycelynn Aryan Nation, and Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie. Campbell and his then-wife first made headlines in 2008 when a New Jersey Shop-Rite refused to make a birthday cake with the then three-year-old Adolf's name on it.

Campbell is no stranger to Centre Square. Last Friday, the Express-Times reported that he was apparently "sucker punched" by a group of black men.

Nothing as violent happened during his proposal, although the Post story noted that the it drew some protests.
