Heatwave Enters Second Day

Temperatures hit 100; Friday expected to be just as hot.

Temperatures hovered around 100 degrees all around the country Thursday, and Easton wasn't spared being part of what meteorologists labeled a "heat dome."

Temperatures were expected to be around 100 on Friday, with the heat index reaching 109. "Tomorrow's supposed to be worse," was a common refrain around Easton on Thursday afternoon.

The National Weather Service issued an "excessive heat warning" until Saturday evening.
