City council discusses block grants, and more...

Good morning everyone. It's been a long couple of weeks, hasn't it?

Here's five things to know today:

1. Easton City Council meets Wednesday night, and one of the things on its agenda is a hearing on the 2012 Community Development Block Grants. Cuts to the CDBG program have meant less funding for in past years.

2. The Nurture Nature Center will hold its first public program Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at , using to discuss climate and flooding.

3.A few Easton Area Schools are holding open houses this week. for Tuesday at 6:30 p.m., while for 12th grade parents at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
