Easton school and zoning boards meet, Kishi Bashi plays, and more...

Good morning everyone. I'm starting this week by apologizing for any confusion I created last Friday with our preview of the Easton Farmers' Market chili pepper fest. That story was meant to run later THIS week. The festival happens Sept. 22.

And now, on to some other things happening this week:

1. The Easton Area School Board holds its regular meeting Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the district offices on Bushkill Drive.

2. Easton's Zoning Hearing Board meets tonight at 6:30 at city hall.

3. Singer-songwriter Kishi Bashi will perform Wednesday at 8 p.m. at the Grand Eastonian.

4. The American Association of University Women begins its annual book sale Thursday at Eddyside Park in the poolhouse.

5. Today is Sept. 17. It's the 150th anniversary of the Civil War's Battle of Antietam. Robert Parker, creator of the Spenser mystery novels, would have been 80 today.
