Good morning everyone. I'm writing this outside, on Sunday afternoon, enjoying the unseasonably warm weather. It looks like at least some of this week will be this pleasant.

Anyway, here's five things to know today:

1. The Easton Area School Board will hold its monthly committee meetings Tuesday night at 6 p.m. at on the South Side.

2. Other municipal meetings in the city this week: , tonight at 7 p.m.; Recreation Board, Tuesday at 7 p.m.; Redevelopment Authority, Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.

3. hosts the Spirit of Uganda, a performance troupe made up of young people from the African nation, Wednesday night at 8 p.m. There's also a free lecture/performance by the group at 11 a.m. Tuesday.

4. Historian Len Buscemi will on the Schools of Easton and Phillipsburg, Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at in Wilson.

5. Today is March 19. The Academy Awards were telecast for the first time on this day in 1953. Glenn Close, Wyatt Earp, and baseball's Richie Ashburn were all born on this day.
