5 Things to Know Today

City council meets, book mania at Paxinosa, and more...

Good morning everyone. Hope everyone had a good weekend. I'll be back at the helm later this week, but for now, Christina Georgiou is still running things. 

Here are five things to know today.

1. Easton's Historic District Commission meets today at 5:30 p.m. in city council chambers. One of the things on the agenda: to the A&D Tile and WEST buildings.

2. City council will hold its regular meeting Wednesday night at 6 p.m.

3. Cops 'n' Kids of Easton have sponsored a book drive with a local Girl Scout Troop, and will be giving out more than 4,400 books to kids * Thursday morning.

5. Today is December 12. On this day in 1787, Pennsylvania ratified the Constitution. Frank Sinatra was born on this date in 1915.

*Clarification from one of our readers: "Our local Girl Scout Service Unit (which is ALL the troops in Easton, Forks and Palmer) have collected about 4,400 books for the Paxinosa Elementary School LIBRARY through a partnership with the Cops N Kids Reading Room.
