5 Things to Look Out For This Week In Easton

Hello everyone, and welcome to a new week in Easton. This week marks the 150th anniversary of the Civil War, and the 50th anniversary of Bob Dylan's first major show in New York City.

Here's five things to know about today:

1. The Easton Area School Board will hold a marathon budget session -- six hours long -- on Wednesday prior to voting on a budget that evening. Before the board meets, district teachers against job/program cuts.

2. City Council is expected to discuss a bill that would provide benefits for employees in same-sex domestic partnerships. In the past, council and the mayor they support this bill.

3. The Easton Area Public Library will host a talk by Jane Moyer -- who was the library director from 1956 to 1977 -- Tuesday at noon. Feel free to bring your lunch as she tells her stories.

4. On a completely different note, Bret Michaels, lead singer of Poison, plays a show at the . I wonder how much overlap there'll be between the Jane Moyer audience and Michaels'.

5. After what seems like a long, long hiatus, Northampton County Council reconvenes Thursday evening, for one of its last few pre-primary meetings.
