5 Things to Know: Hurricane Sandy Edition

Hurricane Sandy is here, disrupting things right and left.

Good morning everyone. Normally, I'd use this space to list some things that are happening this week in Easton. With Hurricane Sandy here, a lot of events are being postponed. So anything I do list as happening, note that it might get canceled.

1. We have live hurricane coverage happening all day today starting at 6 a.m. Talk to Patch editors and other readers, share your stories or photos of the storm, or just listen in.

2. As you probably know by now, pretty much every school in the Easton area -- public, private and college -- has canceled classes today. We'll publish another story later today listing any Tuesday cancellations.

3.  Also canceled: the city's scheduled budget meeting for Tuesday night. No word yet on a new date.

4. Still happening as of this writing: Easton School Board Member Frank Pintabone's constituent meeting, scheduled for Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Easton Area Community Center.

5. And closed: The Family YMCA of Easton and Phillipsburg. Please be safe today, folks.
