Fall Activities for Children at Easton Area Public Library

Fall Session Story Times

We have story times for children from age 6 months through 5 years old.

Main Library:  September 10 – October 5   

Palmer Branch: September 10 – October 17

South Side Branch: September 19 – October 24 

For the schedule at the Main Library, visit http://www.eastonpl.org/YSEvents1.pdf.  For the Palmer Branch, see http://www.eastonpl.org/PalmerBranch.htm.  South Side story time is on Wednesdays at 10:15 am for ages 2-5.  Registration is required for all story times.

Children’s Poetry Troupe Performance  - Saturday, September 22, 3:15 pm

The Poetry Troupe performs popular works of poetry at the Riverside Festival for the Arts as part of Writers Reading Live! in the Amphitheater at Scott and Riverside Parks, Larry Holmes Drive. For more information about the Festival, go to www.eastonriversidefest.com.

Halloween Program: South Side Branch – Saturday, October 13, 11:00 am

Ahoy mates! Dress up as pirates and sail into the South side Branch. Listen to pirate stories, make a pirate bandanna, take away booty bags to your cove. Registration is a must.

Halloween Party: Palmer Branch – Saturday, October 27

Pre-registration required.

Picture Bingo: Main Library – Monday, October 29 – 6:00 pm

Get your Bingo card, play Picture Bingo, and win a book. Books for children of all ages will be given as prizes. We’ll be in the Catherine Drake Meeting Room. Call Youth Services to register. Kids, wear your Halloween costumes!

The Poetry Troupe will the finale for a great day of local authors and poets reading their own work aloud. The Troupe will be performing poems from such diverse poets as Edgar Allan Poe, Sir Walter Scott, and Shel Silverstein. They're wonderful!
