Merchants Bank Moving to New Easton Location

Locally-owned bank moving Easton branch to former Lenny's store.

Merchants Bank will soon have a new home in downtown Easton, although it won't be moving very far.

The company said Monday it had recently signed a lease for 44-46 Centre Square, the former home of Lenny's Menswear. The move is scheduled for March.

The bank has had a branch across the street at 1 Centre Square since 2004.

Diane Haviland, who owns 44-46 Centre Square with Ken Greene, said in a news release she was happy to be part of the "Merchants family" in downtown Easton.

“We have watched time and time again how Merchants Bank has demonstrated their commitment to the City of Easton and its community," she said. "From our
perspective, there was never going to be a better partnership."

Merchants said the new building will have 3,100 square feet of space, more than double its current location.

Haviland and her husband Ken Greene began renovating the building last year.
