Tony-Winning Musical 'Memphis' Coming to State Theatre

Award winning rock musical 'Memphis' takes the stage Feb. 9 in Easton.

Memphis a "thrilling tale of fame and forbidden love," comes to the State Theatre next month.

Winner of the 2010 Tony award for Best Musical, Memphis will take the stage at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 9.

Inspired by real events, Memphis tells the story of a "radio DJ who wants to change the world and a club singer who is ready for her big break," the theater said in a news release. "What ensues is their incredible journey to the ends of the airwaves - filled with laughter, soaring emotion and roof-raising rock 'n' roll."
