Help the State Theatre Raise a New Curtain

Easton theater is looking for donations to replace 28-year-old curtain.

Thanks to the help of an anonymous donor, the State Theatre is close to raising the money it needs for a new curtain.

The theater says the donor has pledged to match up to $17,500 in contributions, bringing the total raised to more than $37,000.

It will take $45,000 to replace the current curtain at the historic Easton theater. The curtain was installed in 1986, and has begun to deteriorate.

“Yes, we need a new one, but the good news is that we have worn this one ragged….that is something to be proud of!" theater president and CEO Shelley Brown said in a news release "Now, we are on our way to replacing it with a new one, which will rise on many more wonderful shows.”

You can send donations to State Theatre Curtain Call Campaign, 453 Northampton Street, Easton, PA 18042 or donate online at www.statetheatre.org
