Have a Drink, Help Paint a Mural in Downtown Easton

Fundraiser at Rivals Bar Thursday helps support new mural in downtown Easton.

If you have a drink at Rivals this Thursday evening, you'll be helping put more public art in downtown Easton.

From 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, a trio guest bartenders—Mayor Sal Panto, Dave Hopkins, Director of Easton’s Public Works Department and Gretchen Longenback, Director of the Greater Easton Development Partnership—will be pouring drinks.

All their tips will help support a new 400-square foot mural by artist Tom D'Angelo, slated for the corner of Church and Sitgreaves streets on the side of the Lauter’s Furniture building.

Work on the mural is expected to begin early next year. The Easton Main Street Initiative is looking for sponsors to help finish the project.
