Easton Director's Work Will Air on HBO

Filmmaker Gershon Hinkson's "The Turtle & the Nightingale" premieres at midnight.

The Turtle & the Nightingale, a short film written and directed by Easton filmmaker Gershon Hinkson, will premiere early Monday morning on HBO.

The movie will air at 12:10 a.m. on HBO Zone, but is also available OnDemand, according to the HBO website.

"Addressing the subject of bullying in a London middle school, my aim is to offer a different perspective on the issue," Hinkson said in a message posted Friday on the Easton Patch Facebook page, asking viewers to set their DVRs to record the film.

"And while the time slots aren't prime time (hence the DVR), I'm extremely grateful for the opportunity to share my work with folks on such a platform," the message continued.

Hinkson -- who serves as the chair of the city's film festival - has in Easton before, showing it to kids at the Boys & Girls Club last year on Martin Luther King Day.
